Anyway yeah. I made a Blasto poster for Bioware. Nothing else needs to be said.
Except maybe that I made a Blasto poster for Bioware.
Badassfully, please let me annoy you once more with my Blasto poster. Badassfully, I will even provide bonus trivia to help incentivize repeat viewings:
- The initial ask was for pulpy spy movie compositions, leaning into the dirty harry aesthetic; however, despite trying a couple of those on for size, once we happened on the centered tentacle gun tornado, no one wanted to go back.
- The brief also specifically asked for the first movie in the Blasto franchise, hence the Illium cityscape and a regretful lack of Detective Bubin. Whom I love very much and would revisit in a heartbeat.
- You may also notice color similarity to my Boba Fett poster, which ended up being a direct palette reference after going through a number of other options.
- I tried including some notable handguns from the trilogy, along with painstaking labor in wrapping Blasto’s tentacles around the handles and over their respective triggers. Proud of that touch. He’s always toting the guns all willy-nilly in the comics and at the movie set. I, however, wanted to imbue with him due professionalism befitting a Spectre Ultra Elite 7000. It is this type of attention to detail that sets me apart in the global Blasto art hysteria currently gripping the internet.
- Looked at some asari commando concept art as well as his partner from Eternity is Forever when designing the sidekick. And to all the N7 Paladin shield enjoyers, that top tentacle is for you!
- I unknowingly covered up my skyscraper-hopping Mako easter egg with a flat white fume quite late in the process and didn’t really notice until weeks after final approval. Bit sad about that.
Time for a new batch of Yen coming at ya eyeballs! She is exactly as stupid as she is pretty.

I like tumblr because it understands that just because I consent to sound for one video, doesn’t mean I consent to sound for every video. The number of times I’ve been on instagram or twitter and turned my sound on for one thing only to be startled by whatever loud ass thing came next is Many. Love that I have to unmute every time over here.

The Gorilla Effect is a psychological quirk of human observation. The effect was named for an experiment where an observer was tasked with counting the number of bounces a basketball player makes, and how somebody dressed in a gorilla suit could walk across the stage without being noticed by the observer.
What the scientific paper suggests is that alien communications might be all around us, but we are not equipped to perceive them. We’re too focused on optical telescopes & radio signals to detect (say) fluctuations in dark matter.

“Shepard, let me tell you something that I’ve learned the hard way. You can pay a soldier to fire a gun. You can pay him to charge the enemy and take a hill. But you can’t pay him to believe.”
Happy N7 Day everyone!
For N7 Day, a farewell to MShenko and the longfic project I worked on for three years. I finished After the Crucible and posted the final epilogue chapter last week, featuring this art from the incredible @elleweird.
